What is the moral lesson of noah's ark?

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Genesis 6 v 5 - 6

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. and God looked upon the earth and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. Genesis 6 v 11 - 12.

Thus we see an important lesson from the story of Noah. The Bible teaches that there was very good and sufficient reason for the flood of Noah's day. At times there come into the pages of history individuals who seem to be unspeakably wicked, violent, and vile. The Bible record here indicates that all of mankindwas that way! It also teaches us that sin is serious, and that a righteous God who is the maker of all has the right to expect certain behavior.

This passage also makes clear that the God of the Bible is compassionate. The state of affairs grieved him deeply. But he had no choice.

Especially when we remember that Noah was called a 'preacher of righteousness' in 2 Peter 2 v 5 the persons who perished in the flood were without excuse as they heard Noah's message and no doubt saw or heard about the Ark while it was being built.

I don't believe there was any moral lesson regarding the flood. The flood was God's judgement on an ungodly people who were determined not to serve their creator. They were give ample opportunity to take their place on the ark, after all, it took more than 100 years to build. Noah preached for all those years that they needed to repent and save themselves. But they chose not to do so, thus suffered the wrath of God. The same thing is happening now. Very soon the rapture of the church, which those unsaved believe won't happen, will occur and those who are saved and serving Jesus Christ will be taken out of this sinful world. Now is the day of grace, now is the time to chose Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You may reject him now, but his word says that "every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord". Why not do it now and prepare your heart to spend eternity with the Maker of Heaven and Earth instead of spending eternity in hell which God also created for the Angel Lucifer and the angels who followed him. Eternity in Heaven sounds pretty good to me. If I am wrong, what do I have to lose?
