What is the prayer that Jesus himself taught us?

Jesus teaches about the Lords Prayer. The Lord's Prayeris a basic Christian prayer. As a model of prayer, every Christian learns it by heart;

Our Father

Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name

Thy kingdom come,

thy will be done on earth,

And forgive us out tresspasses

As we forgive those who trespass againts us.

and lead us not into temptation

Lord's Prayer

The Bible doesn't label the prayer with a title or name. Men have done this.

It isn't even a prayer, but an "outline" for how we should pray. Jesus says: "...After this MANNER therefore pray ye..." (Matt.6:9). He doesn't say, "Pray this prayer."

A prayer is from a person's heart, not memorized from a text book. Jesus had just finished telling them: "...when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do..." (verse 7). The vain repetition of this prayer outline at public gatherings isn't what Jesus was teaching them to pray. Only, in that "manner," and only in "...thy closet... when thou hast shut thy door..." (verse 6).
