The value of religion and belief in supernatural beings is subjective and takes on a definition unique to each individual based on what they think is the belief's importance in their lives.

Several studies have indicated that people who hold some sort of faith in a supernatural or divine being tend to gain happiness in their lives from their belief and a sense of understanding in their own definition or perceptions on their beliefs.

However, like many things dealing with the divine and religions about the divine, it tends to be more a personal definition as to what the value of religion is, and is definitely different to different people, even within similar religious backgrounds.
