Taoism, like any philosophical or religious system, can be critiqued for various reasons. One common criticism is that its emphasis on non-action (wu wei) can lead to passivity or inaction in the face of social injustices. Additionally, some argue that its mystical elements can be overly vague, making it difficult for practitioners to apply its teachings in practical, everyday situations. However, these critiques often depend on individual interpretation and the context in which Taoism is practiced.
You have it wrong sorry...Confucius had nothing to do with creating Taoism and sadly it (Taoism) is not a religion either
Taoism went wrong when it allowed itself to be called by a name ending in "ism". Actually, at that point, the Tao separated itself from the "ism", leaving that pathetic tail to writhe in the grasp of the grasping, like the shed hinder appendage of a lizard. You can get a grip on the "ism" but never on the Tao.
