The real Pocahontas would not have looked like that at all. She would have had the hair on the top of her head shaved and left long in the back, braided with shells. She would have worn little clothing as a child but by age 14 she would wear a deer skin apron or a fringed deer skin dress with one shoulder strap for special occasions. She would have had tattoos to decorate her skin.
