What languages were spoken by St Mark?

Mark, the companion of Paul, must have spoken Greek. The pseudepigraphical epistle, 1 Peter, says that Mark was the son of Peter. Although unlikely to be true, this would mean that Mark spoke Aramaic as his first language.

The Gospel According to Mark was originally written anonymously and only attributed to the apostle whose name it now bears later in the second century. This attribution is unlikely to be true, so we do not know who Mark the evangelist really was. However, the Gospel is written in Greek Koine, a dialect of Greek, and this St Mark would have spoken Greek Koine fluently.
