"Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children for the kingdom of God's sake, who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting."
It would be difficult to compel parents to give personal possessions back to a runaway, for the following reason. It would be legally construed that if someone moves out of a residence and leaves some possessions behind, those possessions are abandoned. Certainly a runaway who leaves possessions behind in the home of a parent, has not made any agreement about the storage of those possessions. People are not legally obligated to store the abandoned possessions of other people whom they used to live with. That said, if you can manage to maintain some degree of civil relationship with your parent, that parent should be willing to return your personal possessions. It is the decent thing to do.

One way to set up personal boundaries is to spend time thinking about what you are willing and are not willing to do. This is done by analyzing hypothetical situations and the possible outcomes of said situations. By doing this, you can learn what you are prepared for, and what you are not prepared for. (i.e. having a child at an early age.) Setting boundaries is important, and should be made in advanced, and not while a certain problem is currently going on.
Highly organized and well financed pressure groups pressured for prohibition and millions of citizens were willing to give the social engineering experiment a chance to work.
In brief, a will is a set of instructions to the courts spelling out how a person wants his or her possessions to be distributed after the death of the person who made the will.

Cleopatra more than likely went to Jerusalem to gloat. She was an enemy of Herod and wanted Antony to give her Herod's kingdom. Antony refused, but did give her a great deal of Herod's income especially the income from his balsam groves. On her way home from Antioch, she made a tour of all her new possessions, stopping at Jerusalem to gloat over her "victory" over Herod and also to renew her friendship with Herod's wife and mother-in-law.Cleopatra more than likely went to Jerusalem to gloat.
