Trick question! It wasn't moral to bomb Pearl Harbor, but they did it anyway. So it would be actually not moral to get revenge for the deaths of the fallen American sailors. This was done by bombing them, so essentially, your question is why was it moral to bomb Japan? Which I just answered.
