For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not die but have eternal life. No more needs to be said. Jesus went on to say that whoever believes in him (already) has eternal life, but he who does not believe on Him is (already) under judgment.

What sums up Jesus' whole message of trust in and love for God the Father?

We all so want to believe in God and to trust him and love him. Not least was Phillip, who said to Jesus, "Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us." And Jesus answered him, "Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;" (John 14.8,9) And also, when the Pharisees asked Jesus what they should do to work the works of God, Jesus replied, "This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." (John 6.29). So we can see that the whole message of Jesus is to believe in him, and that way we trust and love God, who himself confirms Jesus' message in this Scripture from John 3.16 - " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
