prophet did not give any especial name to him and The Hadith saying there is no leaf unless it is written on it Abubakr Seddiq and Umar Farooq is not considered authentic according to shia scholars. this is Hadith is considered a fabricated Hadith by Ali Ibn Jamil Reqqi. Tabarani has mentioned this Hadith and said this is a fake Hadith. Ali Ibn Jamil was who fabricated too many Hadith and is the only narrator of this Hadith.

i don't think whether the name Omar has any meaning because it is the name of the prophet s.a 's companions.He is among the first men who accepted Islam.
