A:
Abraham played a quite important part in early Hebrew tradition, but no part in history.
In tradition, Abraham was the forefather of the Hebrew people, as well as of the Arabs and other Semitic peoples. He worshipped the God of the Hebrews, and in later tradition was the first to recognise that there is only one God. His God promised him that his descendants would occupy the Promised Land - the land belonging to the Canaanites.
Abraham did not play a part in Hebrew history, simply because he did not really exist. Scholars find that many of the places and events associated with Abraham did not yet exist at that time, or could not have happened during the time attributed to Abraham. Even his astounding lifespan has now been shown to have been derived from numerology, using a formula based on the magic number 17.
You may read of the accounts of Abram who became Abraham in Genesis chapters 11 through 25. He is the first to be called a 'Hebrew.'Genesis 14:13:"A man who had escaped came and reported this to Abram the Hebrew."
Stone Age
A:No. Genesis is, for the main part, a collection of the myths and legends of the early Hebrew people. It is not about reality.
The most sacred part is the Torah, which is the first 5 books of the Hebrew Bible.
for the most part
the early history of china goes all the way back to 5,000 b.c. and I believe the dynasties are the best part. The best dynasty was the Xao dynasty it was awsome the second best was the gan ning dynasty :)
The Jewish bible is all about their history, law and experience in the wilderness. The prophets always spoke to the rulers to change their ways and listen to god , instead falling for these stupid idols.
the Torah
Ketuvim
The entire Hebrew Bible is a great work of literature, from God himself. The Psalms and Proverbs are part of the third section of the Hebrew Bible, called Ketuvim (Writings).
