My from my brains opinion is that there is not enough evidence to show that God exists...or doesn't exist. The Deist view is that he exists as a creator...then left his creation on it's own to evolve...and now does not interfere in earthly matters. That seems valid and possible! I suppose that means prayers are of no value and a resurrection is impossible. The death on the cross that saved us is seemingly impossible.... and doesn't make any sense in an educated mans mind. That Deist theory seems as likely as the one you stated. I guess we will find out someday....or not!

I REALLY have the most problem with the concept of hell...a lake of fire, pain, suffering and gnashing of teeth where MOST of Gods children will spend eternity. Even for the minor crime of not believing that Jesus was the savior based on the evidence, not faith. That means Hitler, Stalin, Genghis Khan, my sister Phyllis, all Jews, Gandhi and myself all share the same fate. Hellfire unending. Strange company...some because they killed millions of people...and some because He made his very existence so vague and physically unreal as to be unconvincing! One very old book...and it full of contradictions and fables. Just doesn't make sense a father could allow that to happen if he had the power to stop it. The threat does serve one purpose over the centuries...scared some people straight! Champ
