What scripture where it says to give a tenth?

Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: it is holy unto the LORD.

27:31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

27:32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.

It does not matter if you have 10 whatsoever (cows, goats, camel, etc) or 1,000 whatsoever, only the tenth of whatsoever will be given (tithe) to the Lord. If you have only 9 whatsoever, then you don't have to tithe.

Observe also that nothing is said about tithe of the sea. So fishermen are exempted from tithing.

Numbers 18:24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

18:26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.

Notice that it was only given to the Levites to inherit and nobody else. I have good news for you, there are no more Levites today.

On 18:26, it says only tenth of part of the tithe. So if you're tithing ten percent, a tenth of that is only one percent (tenth of tenth = 1%)

The first mention of tithing is when Abraham paid tithes to Melchezedek(Genesis 14:18-20) and later when Jacob offered tithes to God(Genesis 28:20-22). Ultimately, tithing became part of the Mosaic Law in connection with the support of the Levitical priesthood in the nation of ancient Israel (Leviticus 27:30-32/Numbers 18:21+24). This tithe usually took the form of produce from the farm. The Levites would, in turn, pass on a tenth of what THEY received to the Aaronic priesthood. The nation of Israel was made up of the descendants of the twelve sons of Jacob, and each family was eventually apportioned a plot of land in the Promised Land EXCEPT for the Levites, who would serve EVERYone in the Temple and in 48 cities scattered throughout the area(Numbers 35:6+7/Leviticus 25:32-34). They never received a land inheritence, as such, but were supported for their theocratic work by ALL the tribes tithing(Numbers 18:25-32). The Mosaic Law ended with the death of Messiah (Ephesians 2:15/Colossians 2:13+14/Romans 6:14 ), so there is no command for Christians to tithe. The Christian congregation is to be supported by voluntary gifts (2 Corinthians 9:7/8:12) as one is able, to assist where needed (1 Timothy 5:17+18), and those taking the lead would do their best to support their own ministry by working themselves(Acts 18:3/1 Thessalonians 2:9) and not putting an expensive burden on the congregation.

Tithes are mentioned in several places in the Bible. It seems that, at least in the New Testament, there is no mention of "one-tenth"; but in the Old Testament there are several.
