Macca & Medina are the first two holy cities in Islam ,they are both located in Saudi Arabia. The third holy city is Jerusalem in Palestine.

Makka hosts the Ka'aba, the House of Almighty Allah. The Muslims perform Hajj at Makka. It has been the holy city since the creation of the earth. Madina Munawra is also a holy city of the Muslims as the holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is buried there.

In Mecca (Saudi Arabia)Islam was started in Mecca in year 610 AD by God revelation of first verses of Quran to prophet Mohamed through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril). Then continued in Medina (in Saudi Arabia) when the prophet immegrated to it in year 622 AD after being informed by God that the unbelievers in Mecca are plotting to assassinate him.

You mean by black box the building of Kaaba in Makkah (or Mecca) in Saudi Arabia. This building is the first God house on earth and was built long time ago before Jesus (peace be upon him). In the era of Prophet Abraham and Prophet Ismael (peace be upon them), they both raised the foundation of this house that was covered. This means that it was built even before prophet Abraham. What is inside Kaaba is a usual space surrounded by four walls and ceiling. The walls are having some hangings.
