True Christianity isn't a religion, it is about a relationship with God. It is based on the death of Jesus being a suitable sacrifice for sin so Jesus is the cornerstone of Christian belief.
Christianity developed after Jesus' death. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit the word of Jesus' death burial and ressurection was spread throughout the world.
True Christianity is about entering into a covenant to accept God as one's God and to faithful keep this covenant which including obeying God as one God. Jesus of Nazareth is the Messenger of this Covenant that all must enter into when accepting God as one's God. That is basis for true Christian to begin having a love and faith based relationship with the Creator God. The primary mission of Jesus of being born as man was to institute this Covenant as its mediator. This Jesus did by offering himself as the Lamb of God in the Passover Covenant, dying to pay the penalty of humankind's sin.
Christianity.
Judaism - the 'parent' religion of Christianity.
First of all: Of all mankind, it was the Jews that were entrusted with God's words; and putting them down in written form. Rom 3:2 "it was the Jews to whom God's messages were entrusted" (JB Philips)Of interest: It was only Hebrews who were used to pen all the books in The Bible; no non-Jews contributed to it. Even the NT was penned by Christians that were natural Jews; no Gentiles were used. The rest of mankind should appreciate their role in this most important product. Also: It was from among the Jews, that Christ Jesus the Messiah came. This was in keeping with God's promise to Abraham.Even though the Jewish nation never recognized Christ Jesus as the promised Messiah; never-the-less the Jews had a preliminary role, towards the development of Christianity as a new religion.Perhaps this is where their influence ends; and from Jesus time forward, it was Jesus who had the major influence in the development of Christianity; due to his teachings and his way-of-life.
Christians did not learn about Christianity from the Jews. Christianity was founded, as a religion, by former Jews. However, by the time they were proselytizing their new faith, it was distinct from Judaism and Jewish doctrine.
Christianity religion, per God revelation of the Bible to Jesus, was to redirect the Jews to the right path of God and to correct for the alterations that the Jews introduced into their holy book and their faith.
Ummmmm Jesus! Without Him, (Jesus WAS a Jew) Christianity would not have been formed
Religion did, Jews were persecuted and blamed for disease and other unpleasant things. The Jews were, of course, also influenced by the teachings of Judaism.
If you are referring to religions that others attempted to force on the Jews, they were Christianity, Islam, and many pagan religions.
Christianity started with Jesus Christ and his followers. They originally were Jewish but "branched off" to form a religion that accepted non-Jews.
Jesus of Nazareth invented the very popular religion, Christianity. Jews believe in Judaism and Catholics believe in Catholicism. Judaism is the religion that Jews celebrate. It is different from Christianity and Catholicism because they think that Jesus wasn't the Messiah and that he or she will come any day now. Catholicism is different from Christianity and Judaism because they believe in and worship the Virgin Mary.
Origanially their native Roman beliefs (conquerored peoples, excluding the Jews, practiced it in conjuction with their own faith) but later the offical religion became Christianity. Follow this http://www.historyforkids.org/learn/romans/religion/
Islam is the religion that Muslim people follow, in the same way that Judaism is the religion practiced by Jews and that Christians follow Christianity.
