It really depends on which Joseph you are referring to. There are 12 mentioned in The Bible. The two most widely known are-
-The husband of Mary (Jesus' adoptive father) (Matthew 1:16) and
-One of the 12 sons of Jacob who ruled in Egypt, rescuing the Israelites from famine. Assuming it is this last one you're questioning, as is often the case with Hebrew Scriptures, prophetic 'parallels' do exist . This Joseph's life pre-figured Christ's in several ways:
Like Jesus,
-Joseph had been especially loved by his father(Gen 49:26/Deuteronomy 33:16) (Hebrews 1:1-3/Matthew 3:17)
-Joseph willingly obeyed his father, checking on his brothers(Genesis 37:12-14)(Philippians 2:3-8)
-Joseph was rejected by his half brothers (Genesis 37:18)(John 1:11)(John 7:5)
-Joseph's half brothers sold him as a slave (Genesis 37:28) (John 18:35)
-Joseph faced serious threats, being falsely accused (Matthew 27:27-46)
-Joseph was 'prepared' for his leadership role through suffering(Hebrews 5:7-10)
-Joseph gaining a rulership position, saved God's people(Psalms 105:17-23)(Acts 5:31/John 3:16)
-Joseph's brothers attempt to destroy him proved to be God's means of salvation(John 6:51/1 Corinthians 1:18)
St. Joseph was the foster father of Jesus.

With Joseph, no as he was a step-father. Yes, with Mary who bore Him as His mother.
No, Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, was not alive when Jesus was crucified.
Saint Joseph served as the earthly father and guardian of Jesus, providing love, guidance, and protection to him during his childhood. Joseph played a crucial role in Jesus' life by raising him in faith and righteousness, and he served as a positive role model for Jesus to follow. Their relationship exemplified a deep bond of love, respect, and devotion.
