St. Joseph has been referred to as a carpenter, but woodworker may be a better description- someone that made useful objects from wood.
Lazarus
As a young man Jesus' occupation was that of carpenter. And at the age of thirty he began his career as God's chief minister on earth, preaching and performing miracles. After but three and a half years his activity was cut short by his being executed.
The Bible does not say who was raised from the dead first by Jesus. chickennnn !!!
The responses were fear, praise and fame first in Luke 7.16,17 when he raised the young man at Nain. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, (John 11), the responses were, faith in Jesus from those who believed in him and anger at Jesus and a desire to kill him and Lazarus from the Pharisees.
Prior to beginning his ministry, Jesus was a Carpenter.
Jesus of Nazareth was raised in a Jewish home. Christianity was not formed until after Jesus' death and His resurrection.
The Bible mentions Jesus' occupation as a carpenter in the Gospel of Matthew 13:55.
Lazarus, the man who was raised, was in the New Testament. There is also a Lazarus as a poor man in one of the parables in Saint Luke's Gospel.
No matter what we read back into the gospels in hindsight, they say that the disciples clearly did not expect Jesus to be raised. Once Jesus was arrested, we are told that the disciples, to a man, distanced themselves from him. None of them went to the tomb on Sunday morning, and they expressed surprise when he appeared to them.
