ESAU or "Edom" [Gen.25:30], the son of Isaac, is the father of the nation of "Turkey."
Like Ishmael who was Abraham's firstborn, so was Esau Isaac's firstborn; both of whom in keeping with biblical tradition should have been the heirs of their fathers' possessions or "estate," called the "birthright," upon their fathers' deaths.
The "birthright" promise God gave to Abraham, that was passed down from Abraham's children thereafter was a MATERIAL promise of "national greatness" and prosperity. Most folks half way familiar with the biblical account are aware of God's "spiritual" Promise of SALVATION that He swore to Abraham; but few people are aware of the "material" Promise of the future advent of the Kingdom of God.
And even fewer people are aware that NEVER DID ANY OF THE FIRSTBORNS of the patriarchs RECEIVE THE BIRTHRIGHT PROMISE as it was passed down for the first few generations.
Ishmael, Abraham's firstborn, DIDN'T RECEIVE THE PROMISE... Isaac did. ESAU didn't receive the Promise... Jacob did. Reuben, the firstborn of Jacob's twelve sons, didn't receive the Promise... Joseph did. With Jacob, the two Promises that had been passed down together, became SEPARATED; with the "birthright" Promise going to Joseph through his two sons Ephraim and Manasseh, and the Promise of global "Salvation" passed on to the Jews [Judah - "...for Salvation is of the Jews." - John 4:22].
"Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel [Jacob], for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the Chief Ruler {the Promise of Salvation through the Messiah}; but the birthright was Joseph's:)..." (I Chron.5:1-2)
But, up until Joseph; through Isaac and Jacob, the TWO PROMISES God gave to Abraham [the Promise of NATIONAL GREATNESS and the Promise of SALVATION] REMAINED TOGETHER AS ONE INSEPARABLE PROMISE. Salvation and the Kingdom of God were passed down from Isaac and Jacob as ONE PROMISE.
This is a deeper study than the question calls for: so let it suffice to say that both Ishmael [the father of the Arab nations] and Esau or EDOM [the father of the nation of Turkey] -- HATED their "little brothers" Isaac and Jacob, respectively, for STEALING [in their way of thinking] God's Promises to their father from them. Even though it was God Himself who dictated THROUGH WHOM His Promises would be passed... and fulfilled:
"...Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I WILL ESTABLISH MY COVENANT WITH HIM for an EVERLASTING COVENANT, and with his seed after him." (Gen.17:19)
The Turks and Arabs disagree with The Bible, of course, claiming that Moses [and God] are in error on exactly who should be the rightful God-given heirs of the world's material wealth and prosperity.
But, anyway... anyone today who's half aware of global events can see that that a great hatred still exists between the Arab and Turkish descendants against Isaac's seed, known commonly as the Jews. Even though they're All BROTHER NATIONS AT WAR with one another!
The book of the "lesser prophet," Obadiah, is a one-chapter book that looks forward to the time of Christ's second coming, when God's JUDGMENT will finally be exacted upon the nations of planet earth. When their generations of hatred and abominations perpetrated against one another will be punished and rectified.

Yes, you nations will drink and stagger and DISAPPEAR FROM HISTORY, as though YOU HAD NEVER EXISTED. But Jerusalem will become A REFUGE [the city of David's throne, the Seat and Kingdom Headquarters of Jesus Christ - "He will be very Great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the LORD God [the Father] will give Him the THRONE OF HIS ANCESTOR DAVID." - Luke 1:32 NLT] for those who escape; it will be a HOLY PLACE. And the people of Israel will come back to reclaim THEIR INHERITANCE. At THAT TIME Israel will be a RAGING FIRE, and EDOM, a field of dry stubble.
