Family life was in a strange way traditional, so far as men would have worked outside the home and women inside the home. The father of the family would have, in a sense, run the show. Boys would have helped their fathers; girls would have helped their mothers, by and large. I think it was a society in which gender roles were very firmly rooted.

But, no matter what, even when life was tough, being nailed to a cross and whipped and spit on, Jesus always stayed calm and just prayed that God would forgive them for what they did and that the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus is God but He was born into this world to die for everyone. He grew up as a man. He was hungry at times like we are. He was tired at times like we are. so He probably laughed as well.
