What were three Old Testament feasts?

Firstly, the 7 Annual Feast Days are God's Holy Day Plan for mankind. If you know and understand these events, you will know and understand God's plan to save mankind.

The PASSOVER is a memorial of Christ's sacrifice for our sins. He was scourged and crucified on that day in 31 AD. However, on the night before his capture, He gave the Apostles and all in His Church the NEW PASSOVER for us to keep annually in remembrance of Him which can be read in the Gospels.

The FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD pictures our putting sin away and our constant need to obey God.

The PENTECOST pictures the spiritual 'begettal' and the maturing of the 1st fruits of God's plan of Salvation. It was the start of the Church of God in 31 AD.

The FEAST OF TRUMPETS pictures the return of Jesus Christ to raise the 1st fruits to immortality and to setup God's government on Earth.

The DAY OF ATONEMENT pictures deposing, removing, and binding of Satan for 1,000 years.

The FEAST OF TABERNACLES pictures a millennial rest with Satan bound and Christ and His 1st fruits ruling the Earth with God's Law written on their hearts and peace and happiness in God's way of life.

The LAST GREAT DAY pictures the judgement when the vast majority of humanity will be resurrected to mortal life again and GIVEN their opportunity for Salvation like those who are called in their lifetimes (John 6:44;65) and those living in the Millennium.

These are God's Feasts and were kept by Jesus and the Apostles and are to be kept forever (Leviticus 23).

The seven annual festivals, like the weekly Sabbath, belong to God and no one else. They were given to the entire House of Israel - all 12 tribes:

37 'These are the feasts of the LORD which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day- 38besides the Sabbaths of the LORD, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the LORD.

In total, these seven feasts depict the steps in God's master plan of salvation for mankind. They show how loving and merciful our great Creator God is. They are not done away with and are to be observed today by all as follows:

Passover - a memorial of Jesus' sacrifice as 'our Passover' making the forgiveness of sins possible. Jesus institutes new symbols as Lord's Supper.

Days of Unleavened Bread - pictures putting sin out of our lives and striving to obey God's commandments.

Pentecost - depicts the Church as the firstfruits of salvation - the first to be spiritually begotten and born into the Family of God.

Feast of Trumpets - celebrates the Second Coming of Jesus to intervene in world affairs, resurrect the firstfruits and establish the Kingdom of God on Earth.

Day of Atonement - portrays the binding and removal of Satan for 1,000 years so that mankind at last may be made at one with God.

Feast of Tabernacles - represents the 1,000 year 'Millennial' rule of Christ and the now spirit-born children of God on Earth, when salvation is offered to all.

Last Great Day - pictures the judgement process when the vast majority of humanity will be ressurected to mortal life again and given their opportunity for salvation.

All of the details for the above are found in Leviticus 23. Throughout the NT, one can read of the Apostles and the newly founded Churches celebrating these Feast of God. Today, the general 'Christian' population follows the feast or holidays of men and most don't even know the above exists and should be observed by all.
