The Lord Jesus Christ taught in the model prayer: "Our Father, which art in Heaven, hallowedbe Thy name..." Matthew 6:9 (also found in Luke 11). The word, "hallowed," is a descriptive adjective from the verb, to hallow, which means: 1 :to make holy or set apart for holy use; 2 : to respect greatly: Venerate, according to Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. To worship is to ascribe worth or to venerate or to hold in reverence.

Thus, worship can be accomplished by any Christian wherever he is, yet the instructions of the Scriptures state: "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:24,25.

When dedicated Christians gather, Christ had promised, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."Matthew 18:20. Therefore, in regular gathering together, it is normal to expect hallowing the name of the Father and worshiping Him and His Son in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
