Jesus was born around 3-4BC or so. There was no 'year 0' so 1 BC is followed immediately by 1AD. However, when working out Jesus' birth an honest mistake was made in the calculations and instead of his birth being in 1AD ( as it should be) the years were calculated wrongly so that 4 (or perhaps earlier) BC became his actual birth year.
We know that Jesus was 30 when he began his three year mission and was arrested on the day before he was crucified at the age of 33.
Therefore it is likely that, if my arithmetic is correct, Jesus' arrest, crucifixion and resurrection took place in the spring of the year 30AD, but could be a year or two earlier depending upon when he was born.
Jesus was arrested on the night of the Passover well past midnight in the garden of Gethsemane. After being bound by soldiers Jesus is led away to Annas the former high priest, then to Caiaphas the current high priest. A nighttime trial is held into the hours of the morning. By dawn Friday morning Jesus is again questioned by the Sanhedrin. He is then taken to the Governors palace where he is then questioned by Pilate who then sends him to Herod Antipas. Herod Antipas returned Jesus to Pilate who after several appeals to the crowds ordered Jesus execution by midmorning Friday, Nisan 14. From early Thursday morning through midmorning on Friday, Jesus suffered one agonizing experience after another but no mention of him actually sitting in a prison.
The Jewish historian Josephus tells us John the Baptist was cast into prison because John condemned Herod Antipas' marriage to his brother's former wife. The marriage took place in the year 34, and John's imprisonment is unlikely to have occurred before 35 CE, with his execution taking place in Macherus shortly afterwards.
The gospels say that John the Baptist was cast into prison at the very beginning of the ministry of Jesus, which Luke's Gospel tells us was in 29 CE. There is agreement that his imprisonment was because John publicly criticised Herod Antipas' marriage to his brother's former wife, so there can be no suggestion that this referred to a previous incarceration.
It can readily be seen in Mark's Gospel that Jesus was arrested at exactly midnight, the darkest hour. This gospel organised the first narrative account of the death of Jesus in a twenty-four hour cycle, neatly divided into eight three-hour segments:
Jesus got arrested when he was thirtythree and a half years old.
