This passage tells us that the Hebrews of Judah were practising human sacrifices until at least 641 BCE although The Bible states that this practise was not acceptable to God or part of Judaism. By the time of Jesus, this practice had certainly ceased, but animal sacrifices continued until the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE.
