The two followers of Christ walked with Him on the road to Emmaus. We are told only the name of one of these men, Cleopas. It is speculated that the other may have been Peter since he is mentioned in verse 24:12. They did not recognize Jesus until they sat down to break bread. As Jesus passed out the bread their eyes were opened and all recognized Him at that point. It was also at that point, that Christ disappeared, right before their eyes. I would have loved to have been a 'fly on the wall', just to see the looks on their faces. It must have been terrifying and overwhelmingly joyful at the same time.
