Shenists pray to their ancestors on special occasions (like birthdays and holidays), before stressful occasions, or whenever they want to connect to their ancestors. However, Shenists do not have a consistent day of worship like the Jews, Christians, or Muslims. Shenist Confucianists do not pray any more often the non-Confucianist Shenists.
