The exact date of his birth is not known.
However, after serving as Elijah's attendant for about six years, Elisha then served as a prophet during the reign of Kings Ahab, Abaziah, Jehoram, Jehu and Jehoash for about 60 years.
He succeeded Elijah around 917 BCE (2 Kings 1:17, when King Jehoram began to reign) Jehu ruled from 917 to 905 B.C.E.
Elisha died during the reign of King Jehoash (2 Kings 13:14-19)
Jehoash ruled from 898 to 859 B.C.E.
If you factor in that he must have been at least 30 when he went into service with Elijah,we can only conclude that Elisha was born before 763 BC.
