In the last days before the coming of Jesus again. believers will be killed .And tortured. After all a Christian life is not a bed of roses.

There is a prophesied time in the Bible, regarding God's plan for man, that's called the "Last Great Day."

It refers to "JUDGMENT DAY"... that follows on the heels of the Feast of Tabernacles, which pictures the thousand year rule of Christ on earth. The prophecy is described in Revelation 20.

"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth... And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." (Rev.20:7-12)

God has allotted a "seven thousand year 'seven-day' week" [a thousand years is as one day - II Peter 3:8] to work out His plan of salvation for mankind. The first six thousand years of those have been given to man for his "six-day work-week"... to choose for himself whether or not he will obey his Creator's Commandments, and to reap the fruits of his decisions, learning the Truth about the misery and suffering sin brings [the transgression of God's law - I John 3:4] along the way.

The "seventh day" [the last thousand years] of that "work-week" is the "Lord's Day!" The Sabbath rest of Christ's rule on the earth, when Satan's works and influence over man will cease. Sin will not be tolerated, wars will not be permitted by the King of kings, and the nations will learn to obey the King's decrees and Commandments.

Man will no longer "rule the earth" and his "allotted time" will be over. The Kingdom of God will take over rulership of the earth... and "God's will will be done on earth [as it is in heaven].

"...the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High; and the TIME CAME that the saints POSSESSED THE KINGDOM." (Dan.7:22)

"...he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto THE END, to him will I GIVE POWER OVER THE NATIONS: and HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of My Father." (Rev.2:26-27)

"...in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven SET UP A KINGDOM, which shall never be destroyed: and the Kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces [shivers] and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." (Dan.2:44)

The "LAST DAYS" merely refers to the "final days of God's plan."

Not the "end of the world"... but the end of man's [and Satan's] rule on earth... with the establishment of the "good news" [gospel] of God's Kingdom.

Perhaps it can also be defined in the acronym, "TEOTWAWKI" or "The End Of The World As We Know It." With man's governments and societies destroyed... and the Government of God in its place.

According to the Bible... man's allotted time of rulership on earth will have to be "cut short" or it would indeed spell the end of all life on earth, if God doesn't step in to stop it.

"And except those days should be shortened, THERE SHOULD NO FLESH BE SAVED: but for the elect's sake [God's saints on earth] those days shall be shortened." (Matt.24:22)

"...except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened the days." (Mark 13:20)

Man's allotted time of rulership on earth is RUNNING OUT! His "work-week" is about done... and the Lord's Sabbath draws near. These are those "last days."
