Hebrews 13:5 (NIV) - "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'"
This assurance is expressed several times in scripture:Deuteronomy 31:6 - "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."Joshua 1:5 - No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
The phrase "will never leave thee" is in the King James Version of the Bible 1 time. It is in 1 verse, Hebrews 13:5 [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
This promise can be found at Hebrews 13:5, reflecting similar thoughts at(Deuteronomy 31:6+8 ; 4:31)(Joshua 1:5)
Not all the time. It has its ups and down. But that's the whole point to following Jesus and being his disciple. He never promises that everything is going to be perfect, you may be persecuted, and martyred for what you believe, but its worth it. Because the Gospel we are called to preach gives Eternal Life. And Jesus is always there with us and as he promised will never leave us nor forsake us. Give your life to Jesus and the Holy Spirit will come to live inside you and overtime your fears will diminish.
One verse that supports the idea of eternal salvation is John 10:28, where Jesus says, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand." This verse emphasizes the security of those who believe in Jesus and highlights the permanence of their salvation.
Hebrews 13:5-6 "Let your conduct be without covetousness, and be content with such things that you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you, nor forsake you,' so that we may boldly say, 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.'"
Hebrews 13:5-6 "Let your conduct be without covetousness, and be content with such things that you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you, nor forsake you,' so that we may boldly say, 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.'"
Yes, even though people, families, society and nations continue to turn their backs on God he has promised us in Hebrews 13:5 that he will never leave nor forsake us. God never causes the separation but we do by walking away from him.
