To be a disciple of Christ, you need to seek your answers in the scriptures. John 3:36 says " Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." So reading this, you see that you need to believe. What does that mean? The second part of the scripture answers that, "obey". If you obey, than you are a follower and thus a disciple.
"God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal." John 3:16 "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 3:26
