The gospel originally ended at this verse. The 'Long Ending' follows:
Luke finishes at this point; Acts follows:
After the death of Jesus , and the forty years, the disciples went in all ways, following Jesus s command to go and tell the good news o the people.
They would have said shame and moved onto their next victim!
The next task in the project timeline is to complete the epic user story, which is a high-level requirement that needs to be implemented in the project.
The thief on the cross next to Jesus was traditionally known as Gestas. His presence in the biblical narrative symbolizes repentance and redemption, as he acknowledged his sins and asked Jesus for forgiveness before his death. This act of faith and humility demonstrates that even in the final moments of life, one can find salvation through belief in Jesus.
Jesus was subject to his earthly father and worked as a carpenter until he was 30 years old, and for the next three years he preached and healed until is death on the cross and subsequent resurrection.
I don't think that their names are mentioned but they were two people sentenced to death and they just happened to be crucified next to him
The 'thief' wasn't 'standing next to Jesus', he was hanging on a torture device next to him. Actually, the Bible says that there were two robbers being executed on both sides of Jesus, for crimes they had committed(Matthew 27:38) (Luke 23:32-43), as was prophesied (Isaiah 53:12)
If you mean the three days of the Triduum which are at Easter then:Holy Week consists of three special days to Christians this is also known as the Easter Triduum The first one is Maundy Thursday; this is on the 1st of April this year and symbolizes the day that Jesus got together with his ten disciples and had a meal this is called The Last Supper. The next of the three days is Good Friday it reminds people of the day Jesus died on the cross by Pontius Pilate and was buried in a tomb. This year it is on the 2nd of April. The last in the Easter Triduum is Easter Sunday it is celebrated because it represents how Jesus rose from the dead and came out of the tomb!! All of these dates vary each year.
It was Passover, 33 CE, (current era) when Jesus had the 'last supper' or 'The Lord's Evening Meal' with his disciples. Judas left the meal early, betrayed Jesus, and Jesus was arrested and sentenced to death. Nissan 14 is the day, according to the Jewish calendar that was in use during the first century CE. Days in the Jewish calendar begin at sundown and extend to the next day at sundown. To memorialize the exact date today, the month of Nissan begins at sunset after the new moon nearest the spring equinox is visible in Jerusalem.
It states in Mark 5:43 that Jesus instructed she be given something to eat, but the very next verse is a new chapter. Mark 6 starts out with Jesus returning to his hometown. It never did say what she was given.
