John the Baptist (though not really called a "Christian" but indeed a follower of Christ in his days) was beheaded because of his belief.... sounds horrible to me.

Judas Iscariot definitely died the most horrible death, imo. buying the lot where he is later buried with the 30 pieces of silver (the payment of being a traitor),

he was buried upside down with all his insides dangling to his face.

Another perspective:Among the Christian community in The Bible record (as opposed to outside sources), these deaths could be considered "horrible:"

Ananias and Sapphira were miraculously struck dead for trying to pass a lie before the Holy Spirit (Acts 5).

Stephen was stoned by an angry mob for his testimony of the gospel (Acts 7).

Herod Agrippa I had the apostle James (the brother of John) "killed with the sword" - probably beheaded (Acts 12).
