Who are people that don't believe in God?

In the time of Jesus there was a religious sect called the Sadducees who did not believe in angels.

Today it is likely that people who do not believe in angels will also tend to deny many or all other supernatural phenomenon. In other words they will be naturalists. Atheists would fall into this category.

People that do not believe in god are called atheists.

Everyone is born an atheist because a baby doesn't have any belief system. It's only when it is taught to believe that the child might become a theist.

Further to the response below, those who believe in ONE god are called monotheists.

Those who believe in multiple gods are called polytheists.

It depends. If they don't believe God is the real god, or there is more than one god, then they are simply Non-Christians. If they do not believe in any God, then they are called Atheists.

In the time of Jesus, the Samaritans did not believe in angels, in fact they refused to accept any theology that they believed originated during the Babylonian Exile. They only accepted the biblical books of the Pentateuch, because they believed that only they had been written before the Exile. In most other respects, the beliefs of the Samaritans were Jewish.

The Pharisees seem to have readily adopted new ideas from the time of the Exile. The name "Pharisee" is considered by some to be a corruption of "Farsi", in other words, Persian - not because they were Persian, but because of their acceptance of Persian theology, including belief in angels.

• People who believe in god or gods are called theists.
  
• Many would state that those who do not believe in their god are called pagans or heathens
• people who have not reached a conclusion in the god/no god position are agnostics
• People whose faith does not include an all powerful creator god may be Buddhists to taoists.
• People who deny the existence of gods and the supernatural are likely atheists
• People who feel the whole god/no god interest or argument are non-theists or secular.
