The idea of god or gods is many thousands of years old and seems to have arisen in not just one but many locations around the world. Our earliest ancestors believed there were spirits in everyday objects in the environment, and attributed special powers to those spirits. In time, some civilizations began to see them not just as spirits, but gods. Perhaps the difference is that gods are created in our image - they have human thoughts, human emotions and usually even look like humans. No one will ever know who was the one person who first made that distinction.

AnswerNo-one. God has always existed - a concept difficult for our finite minds to comprehend. AnswerA race that insisted that there is more to this reality than what we see feel and hear every day. A race that without said idea might not exist to this day. A race that is fixated on the idea that it is blasphemy to speak against it or to base an opinion for ones self about said idea. To do so can cause hate, separation and eventually war. A race desperate for answers. In other words, humans that believe in anything but what is right in front of them.
