In Revelation 11: we are told about two witnesses. They are granted special power and authority by God to preach a message of judgment and salvation during the second half of the tribulation. They do this and then are killed by the Antichrist. After 3 and one half days God gives them the breath (resurrection) of life and then He calls them to heaven. No one is sure who these two men are, but the general consensus is that they are Moses and Elijah.
There is no way of knowing when that time will be. If you are a Christian you may believe that the signs spoken of in the bible precede just prior to Christ's return and the end of this world. Different religions have different beliefs.
No, the Puritans just wanted a place where they could worship Christ according to their personal beliefs without Kings or official Church leaders interfering.
The preporation for the coming of christ. "Remembering the future and looking forward to the past". We 'look forward to the past' in looking forward to Christmas, the time when Jesus came to this earth 2000 years ago. But we also 'remember the future' - we remember that one day Christ will return again, and we therefore spend time remembering just What Christ said about his return, one day, in glory.
I can only guess at what you mean by your question. If you are referring to yourself, then I suggest that you do not wait for Him to come. No one knows the time of His coming, for the He will come when the world is ripe in iniquity. Just get on with doing good to all men and leave the time of His coming to Him, just make sure that you are ready to receive Him whether He comes in your lifetime or not.
The Apostles received their first communion when it was instituted by Christ the night before he was crucified. This was during their Passover celebration just prior to his betrayal and arrest .
-----------------------If Christ returns and you never heard the story of Christ, you would want to know who this man was and where he came from. If Christ never returns and you never heard the story of Christ, you would continue to be unaware of that story. In the most likely case, if Christ never returns and you have heard the story of Christ, you might have followed Pascal's wager - believing that Christ will return, just in case it does happen.Answer:There are so many conflicting stories and beliefs and confusion about Christ in the world, that those who haven't heard them won't have anything to "unlearn" when they see Him... and may well be some of the first to accept Him.
just prior to the Civil War
They just return
* The Church is the Body of Christ. The baptized are one with Christ and one another. We live in Christ and for Christ. * Just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life. * We have been given th Holy Spirit. We are to live by the grace of the Holy Spirit and stand firm against all that is not of God. * Love is the greatest virtue. If we do not have love we are nothing. * Christ will come again in glory. At first, Paul and many early Christians looked for Christ's return within their lifetime.
Prior means before. It it just a fancy version to say it! Example: What happened prior to eating the pie?
Yes. Just like the game "Castle Wolfenstein and Return to Castle Wolfenstein". Hitler also tried to find the "Spear of Longinus", the spear that pierced Christ's side.
There are several "Rocy Garcias" on Facebook. In any case, I find that unlikely. However, you'll just have to make up your own mind on this. I suggest you ask yourself about anybody who thinks is the return of Jesus Christ: * Does he claim to be the return of Christ? - I, at least, would expect Christ, on His return, to say that He is, indeed, Christ. At least, eventually he would. * Are his (or her) teachings compatible with those of Jesus Christ? That doesn't necessarily mean that all the laws he proposes are the same - the conditions of society change over time, so naturally, you might expect some laws to change as well. * Does he bring any new insights? * Is he, himself, an exemplar of the highest moral standards? - For this, you can obviously not just trust what that person himself (or herself) publishes on the Internet. Some additional research may be in order. * Do his teachings promote well-being? (Jesus said, about distinguishing true prophets from false prophets, something in the sense of, you will recognize them by their fruits.)
