There is a saying which goes "Whats in a name? In saying that we can either say God or Jesus Christ is Lord of this world. If however we look in the Gospel of John we can read.

1 IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

I understand this to mean that The Word which was with God in the beginning was Christ and that all things were made be him under the direction of God. It is therefore my opinion that Christ is the God of this world.

The Lord of this world is Satan according to John 12:31, 14;30, 16:11. This was confirmed by Matthew and Luke in their narration of the temptation of Jesus by Satan who offered him all the Kingdoms of the world.
