Who is the future follower of Jesus?

At the time of Jesus, his followers were the Apostles and Disciples.After he died , resurrection,Ascension into heaven, Jesus firmly allowed even the non-Jew or a Gentile to follow him. It only depend the faith to proclaim him to the ends of the earth.Saint Paul was the one to prove it.Even ,the people of this generation can follow Jesus freely.

There were and are many people who follow Jesus, but he chose only a few, as you can see in Luke 6.14,15, where the names of the twelve disciples that Jesus chose are listed.
