Look at the parable Jesus told about the widow (who gave a few coins) and the rich man (who gave little in relation to his means); Christ stated that she gave more as it was done from the heart and not just a ritual giving out of obligation.

The moral of the story is give from the heart and it will please God no matter what the amount.
