Simon Peter's brother were named ANDREW!Andrew were one of John the Baptist's disciples before Jesus came along. And like everyone else throughout Judea, John and Andrew were looking for the appearance of the Messiah, because all the prophecies seemed to be coming together for its occurrence; one of which were the existence of John himself: that "...voice crying in the wilderness..." [the Truth of God falling on deaf ears in this spiritual wilderness of a dying world]. (Isa.40:3 & Matt.3:3)

John pointed Jesus the Messiah [Christ] out to Andrew, and Andrew pointed Him out to his brother Peter [John 1:33-37]:

"And he [Andrew] findeth HIS OWN BROTHER SIMON [Peter], and saith unto him, 'WE HAVE FOUND THE MESSIAS,' which is, being interpreted, THE CHRIST." (verse 41)
