St. Lawrence the Deacon
Deacons began about the year 33 AD, shortly after the death of Christ. Originally, seven were appointed by the apostles.
The first deacons, appointed in the early Christian church to assist the apostles with service and administration, are primarily noted in the Book of Acts. Stephen, one of the first seven deacons, became the first Christian martyr after being stoned to death for his bold preaching. Another deacon, Philip, spread the Gospel in Samaria and baptized the Ethiopian eunuch, highlighting the deacons' role in early evangelism. The actions of these deacons helped to establish the foundation for church leadership and service.

I love you to death. Literally, "I want you to death", but idiomatically would be understood as "I love you to death."
I do not understand your question. Are you asking what St. Lawrence is the patron of, who his patron saint was or who was his employer? If it is the latter, he was one of seven deacons who served under the leadership of Pope Saint Sixtus II. Pope Sixtus and all seven deacons met death by martyrdom.
