Hazrat Luqman was a very sacred man. He has been mentioned in the holy Qura'n. Even one Chapter of the Qur'an is named; Sura Luqman-31st sura of the book. He remained in the company of many Prophets. His advice to his son is worth mentioning: " And when Luqman said to his son, and he was advising him, O my son! Don't attribute any Partner to Almighty Allah. (Don't join any one with Allah in worship), Indeed, Shirk (attributing anybody as partner to Allah) is the greatest Injustice (Wrongdoing). And we urged upon Man (to be good to his parents) about his parents. In agony upon agony did his mother bear him, and fed him on her milk for two years. Show gratitude to Me and your parents. And To Me you have to turn finally. (Verse-14).

"But if they strive to attribute any Partner (in worship) to Me, things which you have no knowledge about, Don't obey them. Yet tolerate them kindly in this world. Follow them who turn to Me (Follow my path) . All of you have to return to Me in the end. Then I will inform you about your deeds. (Verse-15)

O my son! (continued Luqman): If there be the weight of a mustard-seed (such a small thing), and it were hidden in a rock, , or anywhere in the heaven or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed Allah is the Lateef ( understands the finest mysteries) and the Khabeer (the Knowing). (verse-16)."

The advice continues in verses 17, 18 and 19. It is worth reading and worth following.
