A few days after Pentecost when the disciples received holy spirit, there were proselytes who responded. They were actually gentiles, but they were considered with the Jews. These responded to the teaching of the disciples.

But I think the Samaritans were actually the first non-Jewish Christians.

They were not true Jews, and certainly not recognized as Jews by the Jews. Their history dates back, and their heritage tends to be a marriage mixture of Jews with other peoples, thus they were classified by the Jews as Samaritans.

Acts 8:14-17 records that these were the first non-Jews who became Christians.

Then in Acts chapter 10 is the first gentile, Cornelius, who received holy spirit, even before he was baptized.
