Who was the prophet to predict jesus's birth?

Actually it was Jesus Christ who fulfilled the prophet Isaiah's words in Isaiah 7:14.

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel" Immanuel means "God with us".

Jesus also fulfilled Moses' promise of Deuteronomy 18:15-18 - the long awaited Messiah.

First we have to understand that Jesus' name was not mentioned in the Old Testament. No one knew that some day a man by the name of Jesus would be the Messiah. BUT the Jewish people knew that a Messiah was to be born. Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah (Immanuel - "God with us") would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14).

Then in the Book of Micah 5:2 that prophet told us that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem Ephrathah. Ephrathah was added to this prophecy to designate this Bethlehem and another town by the same name some place else.

After Jesus was born then many knew that Jesus was the Messiah spoken of in the Old Testament.
