Christians believe that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Jewish prophecy of the messiah in the Torah (5 books of Moses) but Jews reject this idea because the only prophecy Jesus fulfills of the Torah is that he's Jewish. And Jesus attempts to forgive peoples sins,even though God already forgave people's sins through atonement long before the time of Jesus. (see Yom Kippur).
