Why are some people afraid to die?

Some people are afraid to die because they have been conditioned with the perception that a dreadful place called HELL may be their final destination. Some are afraid to die because of all the things they will have to leave behind. Some are afraid to die because death appears to be so empty and lonely. Some are afraid that their faith may all be about a fairytale and that the end may be totally different.

People are also afraid of impending pain.

Life is fatal, we are all going to die sometime, nobody is getting out alive. Humans are the only creatures that realize their own mortality. I am not afraid of death, only in dying badly. If you spend your time worrying about dying your going to miss the living part of life. Don't sweat the stuff that's out of your control.

That is a false narrative, People don't only believe in our Father because they are dying... Everyone in the flesh will die, that is a fact. No flesh being will live forever. Death makes one think of their existence and of course begs the simple question ... Why?

After some consideration, its difficult to accept that there would be no meaning or purpose to ones own existence. Therefore one must consider that meaning and purpose devoid of dialectics which give it no meaning or purpose, outside that of self serving.

Therefore people seek purpose and meaning for their life which is normal and expected. They turn to our Father (what you call God) because his word provides answers to both that quest for meaning and purpose, as well as and understanding of why humans were required to go through flesh life.

One of the fundamental reasons for religion is the fear of dying. Religion provides comfort for some by assuring the faithful that they will continue to live in spiritual form after death. The assurance need not be fulfilled, because we will never know, but without this assurance religion would probably wither and die very quickly.
