Quick reference; 1:17 Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them. One menstual woman among the Arabs is not a good thing. Also, menstual women tend to cause a lot of fuss as Moses found out.
According to the Jewish ceremonial law a menstruous woman was unclean for a seven day (Leviticus 15:19) period of time. The likening of Jerusalem to such was a metaphor for their uncleanness before God which remained uncleansed as they refused to heed the warnings of God's prophets, particularly Jeremiah.
There may be an allusion understood by the Jews to the fact of particular sins committed by King Manasseh which the Lord specifically said He would not pardon. 2Kings 24:2-4 refers to the shedding of innocent blood by Manasseh, referring to his idolatry in which he ceremonially slaughtered his own son by sacrificing him to the idol Molech, in Jerusalem. Obviously there is a connection between menstruation and child-bearing. The precious and innocent fruit of the womb being killed made Israel unclean.
Death by stoning.
Isaiah warned the proud woman of Jerusalem that God's judgment would be the destruction of her beauty and privilege, leading to humiliation and loss of status. This judgment was a consequence of her arrogance and lack of compassion towards the needy and oppressed.
It depends on the woman. Some women don't equate happiness to having materialistic possessions, such as diamonds. Other women view diamonds as an outward expression of wealth, and thus, the diamonds provide emotional satisifcation, as the woman then feels validated.
Women's sizes are usually two sizes higher than men's. So the man's 11 would equate to a women's 13. Hope this helps.
ABRAHAM B. YEHOSHUA has written: 'WOMAN IN JERUSALEM: A PASSION IN THREE PARTS; TRANS. BY HILLEL HALKIN'
A nonpregnant woman typically releases one mature egg from one ovary each month. Over the course of a year, this would equate to around 12 mature eggs produced from each ovary.
Martha: a woman who, with her family, provided hospitality for Jesus and his disciplesMary: Martha's sister, who was a thinker rather than a doerLazarus: Lazarus, their brother, who died and was raised to life by JesusThese three people seem to have provided a home for Jesus and his disciples when he was in Jerusalem
There is no record that I know, of a vision of a woman eating her own flesh; but there are a couple of times recorded in the Scripture of women eating their own babies, because of the terrible siege engulfing Jerusalem. (2Kings6.28,29)
No, Haggai was a man. He was a prophet in the Hebrew Bible who lived during the time of the Babylonian exile and encouraged the people to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem.
Luke 2:36-38 tells us that Anna, a prophetess, from the tribe of Asher, was an 84 year old widow, when she saw Jesus at the temple.
In the Law of Moses, which was observed by Mary and Joesph, it says that after a woman has a child she is unclean for so many days. If a woman had a girl child she was unclean for 80 days and if she had a boy child she was unclean for 40 days. Mary, 40 days after the birth of Jesus went to Jerusalem to offer a sacrifice and be cleansed. She was to offer "A pair of turtledoves or two young Pigeons. We don't know which of the two she offered. Now at the same time they brought the baby Jesus to present Him to the Lord. This was also in the law of Moses (Exodus 13:2, 12-15). This is the reason Mary, Joseph and Jesus went to Jerusalem.
Of course anything shed from your body will equate to a loss of weight (even if its extremely minimal), but it will come back when all that blood that was lost is regained for the next cycle. i would not count on a woman's period as a form of exercise or a means of weight loss.
