Why did god choose noah to build a ark?

Noah was a man who followed God and His ways so of course Noah was obedient to God. God told Noah to build the ark and that's what Noah did.

Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Gen 6:9 .......................Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

Noah is mentioned in the New Testament book of Hebrews as being a man of faith:

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

A person's faith is revealed by their works this is another reason Noah did as God told Him, Noah had faith in God.
