Through fear!
when Jesus was arrested peter tried to protect Jesus and peter then sliced off the mans head who was attacking Jesus. Jesus got angry from that told him off and healed the man who was trying to attack Jesus.
In the four Gospels we are shown that Peter had his ups and downs and that he denied Jesus three times on the night Jesus was arrested. These are negative things in Peter's life, but we all have negatives in our lives, we are human and make mistakes, but Peter's life changed dramatically after Pentecost and he is a good example to follow. I and II Peter are very good books to study and follow.
It was Peter who denied Jesus three times.
The first apostle to follow Jesus was Simon Peter.
Simon Peter followed Jesus because Jesus called him to be his disciple, and Peter was drawn to Jesus' teachings and presence. Peter recognized Jesus as the Messiah and experienced firsthand the power and love of Jesus in his life. He was also inspired to follow Jesus by witnessing the miracles and witnessing Jesus' compassion for others.
While Jesus saw Peter and his brother Andrew along with James and John sll were fishing or repairing their fishing nets. Jesus told Peter , whose real name was Simon to follow me , and I will make you fishers of men.
Peter questioned Jesus first after He was arrested in the garden, cutting off the ear of the high priest's servant.
Jesus made that statement to Peter in Matthew 16:23
Here Peter never betrayed jesus, he denied knowing Jesus thrice. But it was Judas who really betrayed Jesus.
He says he does not know Jesus, so he will not be arrested and crucified too.
the apostles of Jesus Christ are Peter, John, James,
Jesus found Peter by the Sea of Galilee, where Peter was fishing. Jesus called Peter to follow him and become one of his disciples. Peter left his fishing nets to become one of Jesus' closest companions.
