God is omniscient and knows all things before they even happen.
However, he often puts us to the test by doing things that will give us an opportunity to prove ourselves to him by our actions. Through these actions, God can often teach us lessons and help us grow closer to him and more to his will.
This was the case for Abraham, God wanted to test Abraham to see if he really and truly would make the choice to serve the will of God.
While God knows what we are going to do in advance, he gives us the choice of free will to decide what we want to do for ourselves, whether we decide to make choices for him, or to go our own way apart from God.
IN the whole bible when u notice abraham seems to be the most faithful one that he even didnt withheld his own son to give to god it is because of his faith and we cannot see anyone so faithful as abraham in newtestment
Humanly speaking, Abraham. However, Jehovah God is the ultimate "Father of the Faithful."
Elijah called them to be faithful to the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel.
Faithful obedience in all of God's commands:Genesis 26:5New King James Version (NKJV) 5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws."Abraham is called the 'father of the faithful.'
God promised Abraham that if he would leave his homeland and listen to god, and only go where god would lead him, his desendents would be as the number of stars in the sky and the number of grains in the sand which are unaccountable.

In the journey of his life, the OT Abraham learned total obedience to God's will and became the father of the faithful. Undoubtedly, President Abraham Lincoln learned of many joys and disappointments/tragedies in his life's journey.
1. He was faithful to Abraham in that he bore a son by Sarah named Isac even though Sarah did not believe God that it was possible or that it would happen. 2. He was faithful to Jacob, the son of Isac for whom Israel is named, in that he saved his whole family from the shortage of food experienced in Cannon by bringing them to Egypt through Joseph, Jacobs son. 3. He was faithful to Abraham, Isac, Jacob, and all of the Hebrew people by delivering them from the hand of Pharaoh in Egypt and by establishing them in the land that He had promised Abraham that his decedents would possess
Because God spoke to him and offered him the eternal covenant. This was in the nature of a contract between Abraham and his descendants, and God. If Abraham agreed to trust God, and leave his home, and go searching for the 'promised land', and if he agreed also to remain faithful to the one true God of Israel, then in return God would bless all of his descendants and make them the founders of 'great nations'. Abraham was a Hebrew, and the founder of Judaism.
Abraham promised all of his decendents would obey God and serve him and obey his commands and he promised he would circumsize all of his male infants
Sarah was Abraham's wife. Originally, her name was Sarai, but God changed her name and Abraham's (from Abram) when he made the covenant with them. She was recognized for having a child in her old age (past the years of childbearing); his name was Isaac, and God tested Abraham to see if he was faithful when he told him to sacrifice Isaac at the altar.
Knowledge of God's covenant made the Israelites optimistic and faithful to God. It is the reason that 3800 years have passed and Judaism hasn't disappeared.
