We know from the original gospel, known to us as Mark's Gospel, exactly when Jesus died on the cross. The last twenty four hours in the life of Jesus are graphically described in eight segments each of exactly three hours:
This tells us that Jesus undoubtedly died just at 3:00 pm on Friday afternoon. Or, if we choose to feel that this sequence is too artificial to be a genuine history, then we do not really know when Jesus died, or if he was crucified at all. The other gospels, known to be based on Mark, more or less followed the same sequence and times, but were written such as partly to lose the artificial pattern of Mark.
i am non-catholic. Jesus is my Savior
Catholics, being Christian believe that Jesus Christ is The Most Important. The pope is the successor of Peter, who Jesus Christ made head of his church.
well i think its matty mark lukesus and jonny
On good Friday Jesus was made fun of and crucified. The people wanted to kill Jesus so they nailed him to a cross. They whipped Jesus and made him carry his cross to the hill of Golgotha. There he was crucified.
Catholics cannot attend Mass on Good Friday, as there is no Mass held on this day anywhere in the world. In addition all Catholics over the age of 14 are required to abstain from meat. And all Catholics from the completion of their 18 year until they are 59 are required to fast on Good Friday.
pray to god and remember the times of Jesus.
Most Catholics think of the Pope as their Holy Father, Christ's vicar on Earth, the heir of Saint Peter and the head of their Church. Most Protestants think of the Pope as the crowning symbol of Catholicism's apostasy from the anti-establishment teaching of Jesus. You don't ask about Orthodox Christians, most of whom consider both Protestants and Catholics to be pagans.
Because the Jews didn't believe that Jesus was God. So the Jews crucified Jesus for blasphemy. And I'm pretty sure the Jews and other Religions think the Roman Catholics are stupid, so, they criticize us Roman Catholics.
i think it was 6 oclock
I'm pretty sure someone told me he was 33. He was crucified (nailed to the cross) by Pontius Pilate, who didn't think Jesus did anything wrong, but the people forced him to kill him. BTW, the day Jesus died on the cross is called Good Friday, which is not to be confused with Black Friday.
I think it is because jesus waited and didnt have anything during the desert and so we wait as a form of love and respect
Because they believe that following Jesus is more important than what others might say about them or think of them.
