In reality members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka Mormons) are a very diverse group from many areas and backgrounds. They are not perfect and their teachings do not encourage them to believe that. So part of the "aire of superiority and self righteousness" you are asking about simply amounts to people generalizing experiences they have had and applying it prejudicially to an entire group.
Another part of what you are asking about is actually intolerance. There is a growing number of people who feel that if you disagree with them then you must also look down upon them. They leave no room for any middle ground. Latter-day Saints are often very devout people and so when the two groups meet then if both of them are not careful then there is frequently conflicts.
Having been a nearly life-long faithful member of the LDS church and later leaving, in retrospect I see that doctrines I was taught from childhood gave me an air of arrogance. For instance we are taught we have the only true religion, we are chosen (over non-members by God), and that we can receive personal revelation that is often used to judge others "righteously". This is common within many religions however, Mormons are a close-knit group who have been taught they are persecuted. This for many of us made us feel we had the right to dismiss others. In the temple we are taught we are going to become Gods of our own worlds and Kings and Priestesses to rule over others including those who didn't accept our beliefs. Of course for a true believing Mormon this all makes sense and we are self-justified but also justified by those around us in church, and by our leaders who take exhaled positions and status over members. Mormons are good people in general. However, almost without exception those who learn it is a cult--look back on their self righteousness and judgment of others with shame. I have provided the non-glossy true version no active Mormon would ever admit unfortunately.
There is no superiority of one race over another, all Muslims are brothers. If one person is better than another it is because of his righteousness and piety, not because of the race. I'm a Sunni Muslim.
Our naval superiority is unmatched by anyone. The British air superiority in World War Two wiped out a total of 90% of Hitler's entire air force. We will demonstrate our superiority over the region with a show of arms.
The definition of the word 'superiority' is "Displaying a sense of being better than others" or "The state of being superior". A good example would be when someone is trying to make people feel they are of a lower standard to themselves so as to have superiority or power over them.
Anglo Saxon was the term that was used to describe the "Caucasian" race in the early 1900s. Anglo Saxon superiority was the mindset that that race was better than the others and America belonged to them.
Some Mormons about their own faith, because they are trying to better educate themselves, or see if others think the same way. This does not mean all of the questions about Mormons are asked by Mormons. Also, it is worthy of noting that there are thousands of questions about other religions on this site as well. People are curious, so they ask.
well when using these words they are probably refering to something of superiority, and are commonly used to define, me.
The word superiors is a plural noun, the plural of the a superior, which is someone better or more senior than you. eg I am being assessed by my superiors. Superior is an adjective meaning better or more exalted. eg He had a superior manner, thinking himself better than his acquaintances.
Gender Superiority is considered as the acknowledgement that the majority of a gender is better than the other in a given area. This doesn't not mean that all persons belonging to a specific gender are better than the other. e.g. Most women are considered better caregivers than men while most men are considered better with tools or handiwork than women.
"Yo soy mejor que usted" is Spanish for "I am better than you." It is a statement implying superiority or a competitive edge over someone else.
One word that describes someone who thinks they are better than others is "arrogant." This term conveys a sense of superiority and a lack of humility in their interactions with others.
Some, perhaps most, are. Brigham Young said that Mormonism made bad men good, and good men better.
